There are two official tourism information centres run by VisitCanberra for the benefit of visitors, travellers and tourists to Canberra and the region.
The main centre is located on Northbourne Avenue and a shopfront is located in the Canberra Centre.
When driving from Sydney or Melbourne, make your first stop the Canberra and Region Visitors Centre. Meet a friendly local and get the best deals and information on things to see and do in Canberra. Parking is free and there is an electric vehicle charge station available.
The centre is equipped to handle bookings over the counter and stocks tickets to blockbuster exhibitions, sport matches and other events. The centre often has short notice or last minute accommodation deals better than you can source online. You will also find a selection of local produce, souvenirs, postcards and Canberra memorabilia to purchase.
The visitor centre is the official shopfront for VisitCanberra and has free Wi-Fi and a free charge station for your smart devices. Stop by, charge up and meet the locals!
