Event - Michael Cook: Through My Eyes

Michael Cook: Through My Eyes

Michael Cook: Through My Eyes re-imagines Australia's Prime Ministers.

In this unique exhibition, Michael Cook transposes the faces of Aboriginal people over the faces of twenty seven former prime ministers, encouraging the viewer to ask 'What if?' and to re-think the way they view Australian history.

Through My Eyes (2010) was Michael Cook's first full-scale solo art exhibition, shown in Brisbane and then at the Western Australian Indigenous Art Awards 2011, where it won the 'People's Choice Award'.

The artworks are courtesy of Michael Cook and Andrew Baker Art Dealer, Brisbane.
