Outdoor sports

Canberra is active with year-round outdoor sports played including soccer, rugby league and union, AFL, cricket, golf, netball, hockey and little athletics for all ages and grades.

With extensive parks and ovals you can pass the footy and kick a ball almost anywhere. We have excellent skate parks for adventurous kids and you can ride your bike on the world championship mountain bike courses at Stromlo Forest Park or its criterium circuit and also use its extensive cross country running and horseriding facilities.

Triathlons and adventure races are common throughout spring to autumn with the lakes, great roads and bushland offering a variety of courses all within the city.

Canberra also plays host for matches by visiting national teams for cricket, AFL at Manuka Oval and rugby league, union as well as soccer at the Canberra Stadium.
So come on, see for yourself!
