Anzac Day

25/04/2011

Canberra’s ANZAC Day Dawn Service is one of the nation’s most moving ceremonies. Gather with thousands of Australians in the pre-dawn light to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the first military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

Experience the emotion of the lone bugler playing the Last Post. Pay your respects to those who gave their lives in the service of their country and leave a poppy on the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier.

After the ceremony, gain a true understanding of the experiences of our ANZACs and explore the galleries at the Australian War Memorial.
